iCarly is Basic Cable's Top Telecast this Week with Almost 8 Million Total Viewers

icarly-1Nickelodeon delivered a sizzling summer surprise with iCarly's "iGot a Hot Room" episode, which scored basic cable's top spot for the week of July 26-August 1 with a total of 7.7 million viewers. "iGot a Hot Room" also ranked as the number one telecast among the kid and tween demos.

The episode gave fans a never-before-seen look at Carly Shay's bedroom. When a birthday gift from Spencer accidentally catches fire and destroys Carly's room, Spencer recruits the iCarly gang to help turn her room into the coolest, most incredible new bedroom imaginable.

Year to date, iCarly ranks as the top television series among children ages 2-11.

Entourage: Off to a Great Start

191515__entourage_lSeason 7 of Entourage is back in full swing and after the third episode last night, it is off to a great start!  I know there are people who disagree with me regarding this season thus far, but I think it is on-point.  I like the direction the writers are going so far and find myself in even more anticipation for the upcoming episodes then I did during previous seasons.

What are some of the changes, new story lines, etc?

For starters it appears that Vinny Chase is taking his life and possibly his representation in a new direction (after that first episode stunt crash), E is the big shot at Murray Berenson’s management company, Drama is trying to get a TV show made just for him, Turtle’s business endeavor was moving and is now in trouble and of course Ari is the head of the most powerful Talent Agency in the world.  Also, he has been approached by Jerry Jones (great cameo) to own/bring an NFL team to LA, which could get very interesting.  And to add to the fireworks, E may be losing Vince as a client to his rival Scott Lavin (played very well by Scott Caan)?  After tonight’s episode that seems to be where the next few episodes are headed.

I know that some people have gotten bored with the show, but I think the show is still very strong.  The episodes are well written, fast moving and leave you (especially me) wanting more.  I like the way the characters have developed, especially over the last two seasons.  I think you can expect a lot of surprises, changes and strong story lines this season.

Entourage airs every Sunday night at 10:30pm on HBO.  Don’t miss it!

Get Your Knives Ready! Top Chef Returns

Tom_and_Padma_2With Season 7 upon us, it seems as though the Top Chef franchise is going strong. And I, for one, can’t get enough.
